A new kind of hospitality

At its heart Common Ground is about creating the conditions for change – not through instruction, but through exchange. It’s a place to think deeply, listen fully, and connect meaningfully with others who are asking the same urgent questions about how to live, lead, and build in this moment.

Our goal is to foster a new form of hospitality and, through it, a movement – one rooted in a new way of approaching people and places. Across the Summit, and throughout the year at Common Ground, we create the soil in which better business, better community, and better futures can take root and grow.

We do this in four ways: by crafting spaces that spark awe, cultivating an atmosphere of trust, curating experiences that transform, and building opportunities for growth – even if that growth is as simple as learning something new.

What we’re really doing is creating the conditions for people to meet across differences and to bridge divides that might otherwise keep us apart. We know how easy it is to stay within what’s familiar, to avoid the table where we feel we don’t belong, or the conversation that exposes what we don’t know. At Common Ground, we make it easier to let that hesitation fall away, even just for a moment. In doing so, we create space for something more essential: curiosity, humility, and connection.

Through shared meals, music, and the quiet work of making – quilting, fermenting, walking the land – we begin to dissolve the walls that separate us. We find that what begins in vulnerability often becomes strength: the shift from guardedness to openness, from skepticism to trust, from “my people” to “our community.”

In these spaces, we celebrate uniqueness while recognizing that transformation is a collective act. We exchange tools not just for innovation, but for empathy. We promote values and practices that enable people to rise and, in doing so, we begin to imagine a world shaped by care, curiosity, and shared purpose.

When you leave Common Ground our hope is that you carry not only new ideas, but a renewed sense of belonging and a deeper connection to the people and places that make change possible.

The Common Ground Summit is an immersive gathering designed to change the way you approach connection to place. Join us for a 3-day regenerative leadership summit featuring curated conversations, authentic experiences, ridiculously good food and meaningful relationships.
