Activities

In between and amongst the content sessions, you and your family will encounter a holistic offering of activities to immerse in the beautiful Common Ground campus with its history, community and culture. Learn a new skill from a community of enthusiastic practitioners, tour our food forest, ride a horse carriage to Stone Dam or celebrate with a botanical libation, live music and immersive experiences at the end of each day.

Art Workshops

The campus is our gallery and inside its warehouse is a hidden art studio. Meet the artists, discuss how art inspires change and participate in creating a new piece of art.

Mixology

Learn to make craft cocktails with the islands’ unique spirits and island grown mixers.

Pau Hana

Similar to Happy Hour on the mainland, Pau Hana translates to “After Work.” This is Hawaii’s daily afternoon ritual to relax and connect. Have a cocktail in our mural bar or out on the lawn with views of Namolokama mountain in the sunset.

Hawaiian Imu

Learn about this traditional Hawaiian cooking method and help prepare the imu - Music and talk story by the fire included.

Mind & Body

Practice yoga, martial arts or mindful breathing while listening to birds (and feral chicken) and water running in the nearby stream. Early morning sessions are offered by participants or Common Ground’s practitioners.

Speakeasy

Tucked away on the Common Ground campus, beyond a simple warehouse door, discover a new environment that comes to life in the evening hours… if you can find it.

Live Music

Performances by our favorite Hawaiian artists and special guests.

Agroforestry Farm Tours

Experience Common Ground’s regenerative food forest and learn about its intricate and interconnected systems.

Horse Experiences

Enjoy a carriage ride to nearby Stone Dam, experience a horse breathing exercise in the mahogany forest or just visit the horses in the big pasture. This is a beautiful way to connect with these amazing animals.

Classes

Learn a new skill from Common Ground’s expert practitioners. From lei making to elixir crafting, to pū’olo wrapping.
